  1. I think everything was great. But once i get home its hard to carry out everything. My wife gets mad or upset because i don't want to have whole conversations with my best guy friend in front of her. She made the statement. I don't want to be married to someone that wants to game privacy...you should have said so. I realized id been using the rope a dope because before i knew it id said who wants to have someone hoovering over you judging sms twisting every word i say

    1. Hi Unknown! Thank you for attending the conference! We really appreciate your support. It is hard to carry out everything when you try to do it all at once. It's going to take time to communicate differently, meet your spouse's emotional needs, resolve conflicts, and divorce-proof your marriage. The key is to try to make small changes every day. You may want to start by taking the "emotional needs" and "love busters" assessments under the questionnaires section at www.marriagebuilders.com. Then discuss your answers together and try to meet those needs and stop the love busters. And remember there shouldn't be any secrets between husband and wife. Your wife just wants to be included in every aspect of your life. She wants to build intimacy with you and that can't be accomplished by keeping secrets. You two are one according to God (Gen. 2:24). This means that your two separate lives cleave together to become one life as husband and wife. It doesn't mean that you lose your identity or becoming just like her. It means that you become one complete unit that works together as a team. Start with taking the assessments online and then check in with each other weekly to see how you're doing. El & I share tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFtjPCgz59Ce6qBMNpR0owA which will also assist you in carry out some of things from the conference. You have to keep refreshing your marriage by continuing to get marriage enrichment.
